Bought our LG Washing Machine Model WT4870C in June 2013. Rust began showing up about 3-4 years afterward. Was told it was not a warranty issue by the LG Support representative. Rust was surface-only at beginning and appeared to the right of the Dispenser box. Today it is much worse there and now in other areas of the Top Cover (part #MCK6218****). Product is failing prematurely, and damaging clothes. Since there is nothing the consumer could or should do to prevent this, it certainly appears to be a product defect. Shame on LG. Anyone find a different brand washer that does not have this problem? Thanks! User's recommendation: Too late once you bought an LG washing machine. Sorry.
