RE: 2007 Jeep Commander (VIN Last 8: 7C672420) Mileage: Approx. 299,200 Good morning gentlemen. I'm Tom Stokes, a 17-year Jeep owner. Not once did it cross my mind to write the CEO. You all have better things to do, and frankly, so do I. But here I am at Day 33, trying to get repairs done on a 2007 Jeep Commander that has been at Country Club Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-Ram in Clarksburg, WV. This Jeep has been there since 8 a.m. February 5, 2021. Here's a little background. While driving through Clarksburg early Feb. 5, this Commander began shuddering. I was in traffic and could not immediately get pulled off the road. It took maybe three quarters of a mile to get to a safe stopping spot. Immediately I could see things were not good. The Jeep was smoking heavily and there was bad internal knocking from the engine. I shut the motor off and noticed oil leaking badly from what I believe to be a catastrophic failure of the rear main seal. Thankfully there was a city policeman where I got stopped and he phoned a tow. I was at Country Club Chrysler not long after, and this is when the fun begins. Country Club's service department said it would be a few days...maybe 10...before they could take a look. Well, okay. That much I get. It was all that and more before they were able to tell me basically 'yeah, it's leaking oil and there's a sound coming from the motor.' Well Holy Moly!!! It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. And it only took a WEEK!!! Yeah, you hafta be a little sarcastic at this point. Things get even better!! There's some confusion with the warranty. I have a valid unlimited lifetime powertrain warranty. It takes a few more days/weeks to iron out all this warranty crap because Country Club is worried they are not going to get paid for their labor. I'm being told I have to pay for the labor and will be reimbursed once it is determined the broken part/parts are covered. Well, okay. Let's get on with it then. Let's remember here...LIFETIME MEANS LIFETIME. So FINALLY, the middle of last week, Country Club tells me they have me on the schedule and blocked off all of March 8 for teardown/diagnostic. Late March 9, like 5:30 p.m., I call for an update. My Jeep IS NOT EVEN IN THE DAM SHOP!!! Service Manager Bobby said he talked to someone who told him no, they told me NEXT Tuesday before they can even look at it. That's a flat-out lie Bobby did say he will try to 'move things around and get me in by Thursday,' but it's an ongoing struggle to get anything out of them. I don't know why I keep getting delayed, but it's all *** at this point. Can you sense I'm getting a little unhappy here?? Over and over, Country Club has used the excuse they are a small dealer and so forth. That's not my problem and I don't really care. They've been shoving me to the back burner for almost 5 weeks and I'm damn tired of it. Here's their contact information. Country Club CDJR 1251 Milford St, 19 South Clarksburg, WV 26301 (304) 624-**** I've made countless calls to Chrysler Customer Care. Some people have been helpful, some have no clue. What can you do, if anything, to expedite things?? I want my Jeep Commander back!!! A lot of what happens in the next few days---not weeks---will determine if I remain a Jeep customer. Thanks for your help. Tom Stokes 304-488-**** 160 WELCH ROAD CUTLER, OH 45724
