Doctor Incompetency
1
I had a hip revision surgery in August 2016 by Dr Jason Piefer. After the surgery, I experienced severe popping and pain in the hip. I went back to him three times, and he told me it was normal and I had bursitis. I believed him so I continued to accept the popping. After it got worse, my husband said I needed a second opinion. I went to my original surgeon that performed my hip replacement 19 years ago. I would have had him do the revision, but he did not accept my insurance. He x rayed my hip and said the hip cup was placed at the wrong angle and my hip would probably dislocate. I had him perform the second hip revision. I have no popping or pain. I am out $65,000. Before you consider Piefer, do your research, and be careful. I don't want him to do this to somebody else. ***
