Our residential home receives clinical services but the quality for medical students coursework in the field is going down thanks to COVID and ZOOM. The students were supposed to provide us advice on incontinence and they showed us about 5 power point slides. All it basically amounted to was learning to do Kegel exercises. We have deeper underlying issues with this client's including obesity, depression, trauma, abuse, substance abuse, homelessness, mental health, past factors in suicidal ideation, cancer, and there were no linkups from these with incontinence. They did not pursue the need or why drinking more juices water smoothies might be related. No attempt to segway into the quality of our lives Why? Because they are each sitting in their plush student housing surroundings, maybe a home or sitting area, so they can't really SENSE what life is like here! For future training this course is "just an easy A" for them and you can sense how smug they feel being able to tell us how to do some exercises. Waste of my time! I can get better info off the Internet! User's recommendation: Zoom is bad for medical students.
