Why Bother
1
I dont even know where to begin. We book Starfire through craigslist, first red flag. We paid him for eith 4 or 5 hours of Music, cant remember which. To start, I have no idea why he requires half upon arrival, I'm aware he has several "others" that might show up instead of him but is it really so difficult to transfer money via Paypal? There's a million other things I'm trying to do aside from remembering to pay you last minute. Anyway, I made a few changes to my song list, nothing major. He made it out to be a big deal and kept reminding me how much time he was spending on stuff and how much other people had paid for their big weddings. My wedding was small, and I dont really care about how big or expensive anyone elses wedding is. Our venue was very accommodating thank gods because if they werent I was sure he wasnt even going to show up. He has very few actual songs, a lot of them are covers. He decided to play our "entrance song" first instead of the first dance song, then he played the first dance song three different times through out the evening and completely missed the last dance song altogether instead playing some slow song someone had required two time in a row (once acoustic and once with lyrics). The mics he provided were wired and barely worked when my best man and maid of honor were giving speeches, and I have several guests tell me his attitude was horrible. Every time we tried to tell him something was wrong he'd just wave the (old) contract in our faces. They also neglect to tell you that they'll video tape everything but you have to pay an addition $50 for the copy. His assistant was more helpful than he was, I would have gladly paid his assistant every dime we spent because she was the one, moving around, talking with guests and actually had a good attitude. I wish I knew her name so I could thank her personally. He'll probably try to defend himself so all I have to say is STAY AWAY. Your money is better spent elsewhere, 40 years? Please!
