Want to Cancel Reservation and Want my $$$ Back

Cancelon booked my hotel for a trip in September 2020 . Due to illness we . cannot go . Tried to cancel was informed with a Pop Up message they have declared Bankruptcy as of the 26th of March . Will call my credit card company to verify if Cancelon has been paid or whether they just placed a temporary reservation . Very upset . 1 $1100.00 . is now where?
