Unethical cancellation policy

My husband and I were scheduled a honeymoon cruise with NCL. My father-in-law passed away suddenly so we had to cancel. We lost everything, the only money we are eligible to get a refund on is taxes. We purchased trip insurance for an additional $100 but were told that it did not cover cancellation. I understand having to take a penalty for cancelling on short notice but you would think there would be an exception for the death of an immediate family member. At lease let us have some credit toward a future cruise.... Unbelievable.... At lease the customer support representative apologized, I guess that's something. We will NEVER cruise with NCL again and I will tell my story over every social media venue I can find.
