Travellers Ins. claim for floor damage by vendor
My kitchen's laminate floor was damaged by an improper installation by Culligan (Sterling Water), who is insured by Traveller's Ins. I received only 2/3 of the cost of the repairs. The adjuster was rude to my flooring installer, and the flooring store representative as well as to me. I plan to pursue any legal avenues I may have, as I cannot believe their poor customer service. They quoted repairs at a local wage rate, despite the fact that the installation (new construction) was completed by someone from another county with higher wages. They refused to put my home back to its original state. I am still dealing with the mess after three months. They acknowledge the responsibility, but will only cover the area with damage, even though the floor needs to be removed from the entry door to get to the kitchen laminate.
