i opened an account with newport news august2000 my credit card limit was $600.i paid the account a bal of $400 owed,i reported my car was stolen,the credit card was suspended,i did not make any more purchases,the account was turned over to a collection agency,for $900 itried to pay off the bal of 400,they would not accept it,another collection credit midland bought the account,& has reported a bal of $6,121 i have never owed newport more than$500 please help me remove this error from my credit,iorder clothes only thanks
