SqurareTrade refuses to honor their aggrement

When I bought my phone at Target on 04/18/20 I also bought the SquareTrade insurance that went with the phone. After I purchased both the phone and insurance I accidentally dropped the phone in my driveway and cracked the glass cover on the phone. I took the phone back to Target and they said to file a claim online which I did and SquareTrade said that because of the information I provided them they will not process the claim because I purchased damaged merchandise. I said nothing about the merchandise being damaged and that that is a lie. User's recommendation: I believe that I was ripped off and bought some bogus insurance from some fraudulant crooks.
