My car's windscreen was chipped, and so I took it to screen care UK as they offered a quick-fix service at my local shopping centre parking lot (West Swindon Shopping Centre on the 23/08/13). The service was advertised as 'free of charge', as it could be claimed from the insurance company. The conversation with the technician was brief, and it consisted of whether or not my insurance company would cover this service. He informed me that the repair would take around 15 - 20 minutes, and that I should go do some shopping and upon my return it would be completed. Upon my return I found that the "technician" had made the small 2cm chip into a large 20cm crack by drilling it. He did not warn me before of this risk. He did not offer any compensation after messing up on the job.
