To Whom it May Concern: We received an e-mail today from Costco, about a recall on the peaches they were selling. We are responding to that mailing. We purchased a flat of your peaches from our local Costco here in Naples, FL. We used the product as part of a fruit course at breakfast (a few days) and to make a large cobbler (which was eaten over three or four days). We kept the whole fruit, and cobbler, refrigerated at all times between meals where the product was consumed. Over the last few days both my wife and I have suffered from stomach cramps, low grade headaches, diarrhea, some light muscle aches and fatigue. We may well have been infected by the Salmonella bacteria mentioned in the alert as all those symptoms are related to Salmonella exposure. However, we no longer have the packing box the peaches came in (disposed of in our last trash pick-up), so we are uncertain of the code number or date of the exact package we purchased and that Costco listed in the alert. While we have not required medical attention, these last few days have been uncomfortable for us both. Up until now, we thought we may just have caught a "bug". But the peaches may well have been what caused the problem. Please advise us how to proceed. Our contact information is below.
