Rooms101.com / MBA marketing fradulant advertising

Update by user Jun 05, 2013 Once we got back from vacation I spoke to a representative that was able to clear up the confusion. She professionally provided me with helpful information. Based on what I know now I would book future vacations through this company again. :) Original review posted by user May 26, 2013 On May 10, 2013 I called and spoke to Katie at rooms101 aka mba marketing. She verified my income, age, and that I had a credit card to show at the timeshare. I gave her my debit card to pay the deposit and to take the remaining 900 out in 7 days. She knew it was a debit card. I confirmed that when we arrived that Saturday I could set up my timeshare presentation for the next day so we could use our Disney tickets starting on Monday. She promised me we would be able to get it done on Sunday and that she would make a note on my paperwork that says to book us first available for our presentation. The following week the remaining amount was taken out of my checking account. When we arrived at our hotel that Saturday night we were told they had no record of our booking with them. They looked in all of their systems and could not find anything. The lady checking us in called the afterhour’s emergency line. She spoke to Katie. Katie told her that she didn’t have access to the system and could not help us until Monday. When the lady asked Katie why there was an emergency line if they could not help Katie started yelling at her and was very rude. Luckily the lady checking us in found us a place to stay that night. The next morning we found out from the onsite timeshare bookers that the reason we did not have a room was because the timeshare company on the 10th sent an email back to rooms101 to tell them that we did not qualify since we paid using a debit card. Rooms 101 knew that we did not have a room based on the email but yet they took the remaining money from my account the next week. Then we found out that we could not get our tickets until we completed the timeshare presentation which was on Tuesdays and Thursdays only! Luckily the guy let us buy the tickets ($1000) and then reimbursed us after the presentation. I repeatedly called rooms101 and sent emails but have yet to get a hold of anyone. I know they have called id because Katie knew it was me calling when I was booking my vacation. Its very upsetting that I had a huge problem down there and could not get a hold of anyone. We lost a day of our vacation and were out money because this company knowingly took our money even though we did not have a room reserved for us when we got to Florida. We were also put up in a defective room at the resort because they had to scramble to find us accommodations. We slept in a room with no AC and then had to repack and move the next day into another room that worked. We also booked this resort based on the photos provided by rooms101 website. Upon getting to the resort we realized that half the pictures were not even of the resort. We booked thinking this resort had a lazy river for the kids to play in. That was not the case. There were only two small pools to play in. The way rooms101 handles themselves is very deceptive.
