I got a notice that I missed paying $6.21 toll for June 22 and because it was my first time, the penalties would be waived if i paid now! Sounds generous? No! I checked and my bank statement showed that I paid $6.93 on June 22nd. So what was the problem? The toll office manager said “you paid the toll too early at 3pm and we didn't know then how much to charge you for driving before 11am!” But now it was my fault? No where on the road or website, I was told to pay the toll at night only! This is how OC tolls make their money! Charging you penalty when its not due! Watch out!
