A 21 year old female patient of Dr Tony Pham. MD died at Forrest Surgery Center in July 2011 after a liposuction probe was stuck deep into her abdomen and cut a large blood vessel. The young woman bled to death on the table. The lady became a coroner"s case. Forest Surgery Center did not have the resuscitation equipment or blood available to save her. Lack of resuscitation essentials or broken and faulty liposuction probes may have been the cause of the death. Why these events occur is hard. Bay Area Surgical Management, the Forest operator, puts great emphasis on centers to make profits rise as do many medical outpatient surgery centers. A wrong move by the surgeon can cause this. Patients can wake up during surgery and jump around if the anesthesia is improperly done. All things can occur, any one of which could be the culprit. Although it doesn't happen very much, plunging a liposuction probe into any organ is very dangerous. l
