I wear them only in late fall/winter; very little wear. About 6-7 years old. They are high top suede, waterproof city type shoes. Put them on a few days ago. They felt weird after about 5 minutes of walking. I looked down and both soles were separating with bits and piece of rotted looking rubber behind me. It was like an instantaneous tire blowout! I have another pair of Merrills that are about 15 years old that are just fine. They are cloth high tops with Goretex that I use mostly during the winter. They get most of the wear and have no problems. Merrill! What is going on???
