Insurance or employment?

1

I started on Arkansas market place health insurance on January 1 2018. I am retired and 62. I wanted to work part time (14 hours a week) 8.00 hour. I dont want to stay home all the time. I enjoy working part time and thought I could earn a little money. The health care insurance put a stop to that. I have a 682.00 tax sub. Y premium is 104.94 monthly. Marketplace insurance if I continue to work, my premiumwould go up to 174.00 monthly, my deductable would go from 675.00 yearly to 1950.00 yearly. My generic prescriptions would go from zero to 25.00 each. And of course the taxes must come out of check too. I looked on website calculator and put in numbers to see how little or max I could work. Shockingly it doesnt matter, a person is screwed. Leaving me with approximately 30.00 aweek, from my part time job. Im on social security and just wanted to earn some extra money. No point in working when the insurance takes all but 30.00 a week. Our goverment talks and talks about people should work and improve themselves and their lives, but only for the insurance and government to pocket it. This market place insurance screws you out of trying to better yourself. I then called out of market pace insurace. No luck there. One place said no chance of coverage due to past breast cancer. The other one said yes to coverage for 775.00 a month. All this bull, because I wanted to work part time, earn a little extra and not sit on my butt. It a damn shame!!!!
