Illegal use of my debit card
I stayed at this hotel july 31 to August 2. I first made a reservation May 27 and July 30 I called the hotel to check on my room and find out what time I need to be there by. I was informed that they did not have a room and so July 31 I had to make another reservation and I [aid for this one online where as the first one I did not as it said that I wouldn't have to pay till I checked in. When I arrived at said hotel I inquired again about my first reservation and was told again that I only had the one.. Imagaine my surprise when August 1 I get a phone call from a female manager who informs me that she found another reservation for me. She said shewould work on it to get my money back. August 5 I am home and I check my checkignaccount to find my account is overdrafted. Red flags as I do not do this. upon inspection I find where Phillip Lovel Jr, General Manager of hotel, had charged my card for the other room. I did not use my card for the first room so the only way he had my card information was for the second room I actually stayed in. That is theft. I called him and he was rude and hung up on me. I have spend 4 weeks between Booking and Priceline to get this straight. No one can or are willing to admit this manager lied and stole my money. I have sent email with proof of first room and second room. Now I am coming to you. THis manager does not need this job. If he did this to me, what has he done to others. All I ask for is the 127.86 plus 35. over draft fees. User's recommendation: I have yet to hear from anyone.
