IHC Patient Financial Services providing incorrect information
2
I have an HSA plan and EVERY TIME I went to my monthly Dr. appointment, I always stopped by the front desk and asked if I owed money for previous visit, If so, I paid the balance that day! When I stopped going, I received what I thought was a final bill for $99.52, I called on 1/29/18 to pay the bill in full and verify that I do not owe any more money on any other accounts with IHC. She looked over my accounts and said no, that was all that I owed. Then today in the mail I got another bill that was marked as being in pre-collections for $6.51??? I immediately called and spoke with Carla and she said that I paid this on 1/29/18. Then informed me, they just sent another over to collections to ICS Systems for $93.01??!! I immediately paid it and asked AGAIN, DO I OWE ANY OTHER MONEY TO FOR ANY OTHER ACCOUNTS WITH IHC? She assured me that by paying today it would not go on my credit. I am losing faith quickly in IHC and am hesitant to seek any medical care because of this. How can I ensure they are providing correct information and not ruining my credit? This should not have been sent to collections to begin with when I'm given inaccurate information after being told previously my bill is paid in full and I owe zero. If IHC patient financial services cannot provide me correct information then who can? Credit is a big deal in the world today and I take my credit very seriously! IHC Patient financial service should be competent and be able to provide accurate information at all times. After this I cannot help but wonder if I really do owe more money? Are there other accounts going to collection that I don't know about?
