If the store makes a mistake, why should I stay in line again?

Yesterday (July 3 2020)I did a large shopping at the Torrey Hills Vons in San Diego. At home I discovered an error on my bill. The item that was marked 50% off was charged at full price. I just returned from that supper (July 4) where I intended to address this issue. I was informed by the manager (or assistant) to go back and wait on long line. I am very disappointed that when YOU make a mistake I have to waste more of my time and stay again in a long line. I would kindly request you to address this issue immediately.
