Humana Military – Customer Care Review

I have full knee replacement scheduled for the first week of June. I started getting calls from a Tricare nurse about 3 weeks before saying "I am a nurse with Tricare, I just want to know if I can help you"? I'm like for what? She said I was calling to see if you needed anything after your surgery. I said I have had no surgery but I have a surgery scheduled in about 3 weeks. Oh, um, we'll call you back in a few weeks. I went to my Dr. office and they turned everything in correctly for my surgery. Tricare issued referrals with the incorrect dates so I have no authorization for my actual surgery. I go to a pre-op for my surgery and the payment for that appt. may not be authorized by Tricare because HUMANA screwed up the dates. Called Tricare but Dr. office has to call them to correct everything. The Doctor's office is not at fault and they have to take time to call Tricare??? This Humana East SUCKS. Co-payments have skyrocketed for everything, costs close to twice as much as previously to see Primary care doctor, and almost 3 times as much to see a specialist. I received NO pre-info about the increase in charges and went to a scheduled specialist visit and they said I was Not Eligible that day. Took two days to straighten that out with Tricare / Humana. WHAT IS GOING ON HERE? Terrible service. I had NO PREVIOUS COMPLAINTS WITH TRICARE HEALTHNET who was predeceasor to Tricare / Humana.
