After being informed at the local Chevorlet dealership service department that my vehicle's engine was shot and had to be replaced at a cost of over $6000, I contacted Paynes Automotive for a second quote on the engine replacement as they were an authorized Jasper replacement engine installer. We agreed on a price that would save me almost a thousand dollars and also agreed to pay for the tow from the dealership to their shop. The following day i recieved a call from Jason at Paynes Automotive that nearly knocked me over with shock. He told me they were driving the car around and the engine was fine, and that the AC had failed and the belt connecting the AC to the engine was holding the engine and once they cut that belt loose all was good with the engine. These guys could have charged me thousands for a new engine and I would never have known. Instead they did the right thing and told me I only needed a new AC compressor and saved me thousands.
