I have had my Ryobi GD200 Garage door opener for around 2 to 3 years. The car remotes stopped working and would only occasionally open the door even after multiple battery replacements and reprogramming. I called Ryobi tech support, and they walked me through multiple checks. Nothing seemed to work until I was told to remove the backup battery. Upon removal of the battery, all the remotes suddenly worked again. I asked for a repair or fix, so I could re-insert my backup battery. I was told there is not one, I just have to live with it. I did not buy this garage door opener so that I could just replace it every couple of years, and I would expect the manufacturer to be better about getting problems fixed. User's recommendation: Be Aware of This Existing Problem.
