This is my second semester at Ivy Tech and I don't understand why they hold financial aid for so long. I have grants and loans to pay for tuition, books and supplies but classes started this week and I don't have supplies I need so I called and was told that they won't start processing refunds for 10 more days and it could take up to 2 weeks to process and then 2-3 more days to deposit to my bank so by the time they release my aid classes will be half over. I attended another school in Ohio before moving here and never had this problem, aid was released the first week. I'm thinking about checking into this further because it seems they are trying to force students to shop for supplies in the bookstore which is way overpriced and since I have to pay most of this money back I should be able to shop where I want.
