I purchased a floor model cook top and a floor model oven/microwave combo from the Outlet store and have had nothing but nightmares since. First, I called about 30 minutes after placing the oven order, as I saw in photos that there was damage. I wanted to simply exchange with another floor model in another location, but they couldn't do that. I had to pay for the second unit and was told the cancellation (not the refund of course) would take 3-10 business days to process. That happened pretty quickly. However, I received an e-mail on January 6th that my refund of $2,000+ had been issued and I'd receive a check within 10 days. On the 23d of January, I still had not received the check so I called the customer service number. I got the nice scripted apologies, then was told that my refund had been cancelled the day after it was issued. I was told the agent would look into it and would get back to me within 48 working hours. On the 13th of February, no call, no check, so I called the customer service number. At this point I had to re-dial at least 3 times as I would get a hold announcement then nothing. When someone finally did answer I got essentially the same scripted apologies and another promise to get back to me within 48 working hours. So, two weeks later, still no call, still no refund. Everything about this transaction, beginning with the fact that they couldn't simply cancel a PayPal payment (can you believe it?) to their COMPLETE inability to refund money that is NOT THEIRS are why Sears is going out of business. NEVER AGAIN.
