Delivery of a dead plant to a funeral

I am beside myself for the absolute lack of concern by the FTD Corp. I will never use them again. I will always contact a local florist. In this case, my wife ordered a live azalea plant be delivered one day before the funeral of a good friends widow. It was delivered DEAD. Every time I tried to reach someone in the US about this issue, I was not assisted and left on the line for 15 minutes. After 6 times, I finally got through to the Corporate office and spoke with a party named Tiffany. All she seemed to be interested in was to replace the plant. I explained that she was doing what the out of Country customer service was doing. The issue is not just the plant. We expected it to be replaced. How are they going to handle this issue of delivering a plant dead a day after the order was placed. Her response that typically they send a note to the warehouse that handled matters. Dear God, what does it take to get a company that professes to be concerned about service to offer a lot better than this nonsense. I will never use them again and will be most vociferous in my remarks online and elsewhere. thank you
