Had similar experience with them. They promised buy back of other time shares, rental of unused weeks and never happened, first company that supposedly would do this, disappeared within the 300 time frame wait period and the sales people arranged 'gracefully' that a second company take over the commitment after we complained. Another 300 day period ensued and of course at the end of it nothing happened, no money for the rentals or the other time shares as promised. Needless to say there is much you can do about it, other than to keep your other time shares and rent your weeks on your own if you manage to find openings on the dates you want. Other issues that come with this is that you open yourself to a whole lot of other scammers that then call you and offer to buy the Vallarta Gardens time share or to recover your money from the rentals , they are all we found untrue as we were now more careful on who we dealt with. Usually they look legitimate but on deeper research they use names and companies similar to legitimate ones but when you call them directly they do not know anything about the people that contacted you. Also be ware of the insurance policy they offer that will guarantee the price of your time share if you want to sell 10 years later. The insurance company supposed to be in the UK, does not exist and it is not registered even. Don't know why Mexican authorities allow this kind of scams continue to go through. Pity because the units are great, the resort is great and the staff that works giving you service while on your stay is fantastic. it is only how you get to be there that leaves a very bad taste if you think of it as an investment opportunity as the sales people paint it to you, rather than just something for vacationing.
