Defective item sold. Rude customer service

I was trying to discuss a deal in returning a defective product. the seller would like me to return the product AT MY OWN EXPENSE before processing a refund. This is not possible as I don't have the money to cover the shipping and don't have the printer to print out the return label. Talked to a chat agent named "Gelo" and was promptly disconnected after I pointer out that he's giving me conflicting answers. Talked to another agent named "Khyl" and was disconnected after "transferring to the supervisor". User's recommendation: Use Lazada instead.
