In October 2019 I made a transfer from a UK account to cash in Argentina. This took three times as long as XOOM promised. The delivery point was badly described, and I had to spend a whole day travelling about to collect. They entered my name incorrectly on their instruction, and the collection point refused to pay. I had to return home, get them to correct their mistake, and then repeat the travelling. XOOM contacted me and said that future transactions would be simple and straightforward, including large amounts. Six weeks later, I asked them to make a transfer from a UK account to a New Zealand account - both my own personal accounts.It was neither simple nor straightforward. Their phone people initially did not know they held my records. Their US phone people do not listen and just recycle their single idea over and over and over. Despite having already used the source account, XOOM then wanted whole complete statements of my biz, and refused to make the payment. I then cancelled it. A day after cancelling it, they removed the whole large amount from my UK account. They have wasted hours and hours of time, and delayed all possibility of a transfer by probably ten days, to say nothing of loss of interest. NEVER EVER AGAIN! Thank you, PayPal.
