Wrong plant

I order several black rasberry (rubus occidentalis) canes, or vines, which are native to the usa and hard to find, only to discover that my plants were the similar but highly "wineberry" (rubus phoenicolasius) which is native to Japan. Also, a lot of plants under their native plant list are well known non-natives. I ordered from them for the seemingly cheap price, and I have gotten the correct plants before, but after this not anymore. It's so disappointing that a plant nursery, whose business it is to know, won't even bother to verify what plants they actually have and just continue to spread invasive plants across the world because do their research with a few google searches from reputable sites like the Fish and Wildlife Federation, etc. photos: wineberry on left, black rasberry on right ... notice the fuzzy/hairy prickles on wineberry vs the small sharp thorns on black rasberry User's recommendation: buy from a reputable native plant nursery like Prairie Moon Nursery or Mail Order Natives.
