On August 9th 2019 at approximately 3pm we went to Gander Rv at 2222 E Main St Mesa Az 85213 to look at a 5th wheel I had found on Craigslist. We got there and were met by Larry and a trainee. We explained to Larry who we were and what we were there to see,Larry told us it was already for viewing. Larry let us into the 5th wheel and we began to look around. We should have walked away when we found that there were technicians working on a nonworking ac unit in the cargo area. But we didn't because the 5th wheel was in ok condition and had a decent price. We decided it was worth seeing what kind of deal could be made. After several hours of filing out paper work and giving a deposit we were told an answer to financing would take a day or to. On our way home we started getting alerts on our phones from TransUnion, Equifax and Experian. It appeared our deal for the trailer was already being shopped for financing. Great we thought. But after the 12th credit inquiring we thought that's enough. We called and talked to Ryan in financing I told him hes was destroying our credit score. He told us he was just shopping trying to get us a loan approval. I told him to stop as he was ruining mt credit score with all the hard hits. Ryan asked me if he should stop even after we told him YES please stop cancel the deal. We told Ryan we would come there and get our deposit. Ryan said Ok, My wife drove there and met with Ryan who said a check would have to be made out and there was no one there to make out a check. Wasted trip 15 miles one way, 110 outside just to be told we wont being getting our deposit back that day. Ryan asked my wife where should the check be mailed to, she told him and watched him right down our PO BX which we have had for 15 years. Livid after we were told to come get our deposit and then told were not get our deposit that day. I could while my wife was still there and spoke with J GSM. He went out and spoke to my wife and told her they would overnight a check. We assumed that J and Ryan would coordinate this as Ryan had the address to which we wanted the check sent to. Not! The check was sent to a old address that was on my drivers license not to the address provided to Ryan. We did however finally received our deposit back. Moral of this story. If you are brave and willing to subject your credit score to Gander RV's finance unprofessionalism Know Up Front By asking a simple question. "How Many Times Will you shop our credit" Tell them directly, If funding cannot be done with the first 3 lenders DO NOT CONTINUE TO SHOP FOR FINANCING. Because if you do not tell them upfront, chance are you will be shopped until whenever. BUYER BEWARE OF GANDER RV MESA AZ..
