Work Boot sole disintegration

1

I have purchased Dakota steel toed wool boots for over 30 years. They all wore extremely well in the automotive trade. This pair I bought for working around our property. These were never used in harsh conditions. They are not anywhere near new in age but in wear you can still see the coarse finish on the soles and heels. What is remaining of them. I have never had a pair of boots self-destruct like these in my life. To me it is impossible to comprehend selling a product like these with the CSA tag on them. No matter what the age of all of my other CSA tagged work boots have never had this happen and the latest pair is older and way better shape in spite of being used in an oily environment. User's recommendation: Hopefully you all wore out these boots if not throw them out.
