Wont fulfill their end of the deal
1
I’ll never buy a vehicle from Arrigo Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram West Palm Beach again. The brakes on my Jeep squeaked when I bought it and I was told it was fine and if it didn’t go away they would take care of it. I was told this by my salesman as well as the sales manager. After a couple of months of waiting for the break squeal to go away, I took it back to the dealer and was told nothing is wrong. The brake rotor that is squealing is scarred and would need replacing to stop the noise. Is this a serious mechanical problem? No. Is it annoying? Yes. Should this be an issue on a vehicle with only 15,000 miles on it and still under factory warranty as well as the additional warranty I purchased from them? No, this shouldn’t be an issue. I was told it would be fixed if it didn’t go away on its own. I shook the sales managers hand and took him at his word. Where I come from, your word backed up by a handshake is all you have. I guess at Arrigo West Palm, they don’t view it the same way. I still would have bought a vehicle from Arrigo if they would have told me they wouldn’t fix the brakes down the road, I just would have bought one without squeaking brakes. You would think after purchasing an extended warranty for $3000 and paying their dealer fee of over $800, they would at least take the time to honor their word or worked out something to get it taken care of. The new brake rotor would have cost them under $200 in parts and labor at their cost maybe less. Honestly they could have probably taken a half hour and turned the rotor and it would have fixed the issue. That $200 cost them a lifetime customer and I hope this post costs them more customers. It’s dealers like this that give the industry a bad name. If you buy a vehicle from Arrigo, do yourself a favor and take it by an independent auto shop on your test drive and have them take a look at it. Better yet, buy a vehicle from someone who will follow up on their end of the deal even after the papers are signed.
