I am in Florida and I noticed a change in taste with the diet dr pepper in plastic bottles. I thought maybe was just one pack but I have bought from different stores and different times and they all have an odd "off" taste. This just started a few months ago, the cans seem to be ok, it just seems to be the bottles at the moment. I have also been drinking dr pepper for 30+ years so I know how it should taste.
