We were preapproved for loan, then denied 22 days later
we contacted nfm lending before 10/5/16, our credit was hit on 10/10/16, we received a pre-approval letter on 10/15/15. we found a home for less then we were approved for. after paying out 1,805.00 (over a 3 week period) at our lender's/realtor's requests, on 11/22/16, we received a denial of loan letter via email. not a courtesy call....nothing. the initial person we spoke with seemed to be sincerely helpful, the 2nd contact person was arrogant, rude and made us feel like we weren't "worthy" of his time. because of the requests and information they required again and again, we felt like we were "jumping through hoops" for him. as we see/saw it, he worked for us, not the other way around. in the end.....we are out a lot of money, didn't get the new home and feel like we were lied to all along after the initial contact. if we did everything asked, after hitting our credit (which was very good), why aren't we getting the home????? because of a judgement that was brought to their attention in the 1st conversation with both of the initial contact people. I believe after discussion, that we should not have received an approval letter, nor wasted all the money and time, we did....if they would have denied us in the very beginning.
