Video loss on hard wired system

I prefer hard wired cameras cause I had a problem of someone hacking onto my accounts by my wifi ,but reviewing my connections time and recordings I noticed that video is lost from sometime that I wasn't even home usually when I come back home I disconnect the system but I dont understand why is the video loss , is possible that someone still hacking onto my system remotly?
