First off Shane (plumber) made me wait for a whole day trying to get prices on shower base, something that most plumbers know on top of their heads. Then I went to Home Depot and got one for around $100. As soon as he walks in the house couple days later, tells me its the wrong size and would need to come back the following day till I get the right one. Started demo of tiles and once the old base was out, realized his measurements were wrong and the one I got using my best judgement was the right one. After the demo was done in about 30 mins and everything was a big mess in the bathroom, says he is done and needs $350. I was like, "are you kidding me"? He just got started and less than half way in to replacing the shower base, was fixing to leave. He is like, I'm just a plumber and that's all what I can do is place the old base in place of new base. Everything else needs to be done by a contractor. Gave him a check to get rid of him and called a contractor to finish the job, turns out the plumber cut in to the sheet rock and several pipes and even damaged the new base trying to install it. Contractor who also is my best friend who was out of town when I needed this fixed, told me he did a very very poor job and most plumbers do the job from start to finish, unlike Shane from Redd Plumbin.
