Update from previous complaint about Mathis Bros.

I wrote a complaint about Mathis Bros several mos. ago. About 2 weeks after the complaint, Mathis contacted me by messenger wanting to discuss my complaint. I called several times and finally received a return call. At the time the person didn't seem too enthusiastic about solving my problem. About 3 weeks later I called the person I had spoken to since I had not heard back from them. He was on vacation at the time(he had given me his cell ph number). I told him I was unhappy and wanted a resolution to my problem or I was going to contact local media and complain. A few days later a mgr called me and asked me what it would take to satisfy me. I said I either wanted my money back or store credit for the amount had spent. After several days they called me back and said I could have store credit, or they would replace the chair. I had no interest in the chair replacement, so I accepted the store credit. After several days of looking I found a chair that was slightly higher that I liked, so I agreed to take that sofa and pay the difference. The only thing that bothered me was they wanted me to pay for pickup and delivery, which I eventually agreed to at a reduced rate. Received the new sofa 3 days later and it was in good condition and I haven't had any problems. So problem resolved with a little effort and patience. Thanks to pissedconsumer I eventually was happy with my purchase. Thank you again.
