Upcharge for Roadside Assistance/Insurance

2

My wife used an online booking agency to book a car with Thrifty. I picked up the car in Detroit Airport on 8/26/2021. I was not given any paperwork at all, I was only asked to sign the electronic keypad. I asked for the rental agreement and was told that it would be emailed to me. The lady behind the desk told me which parking slot to head to. Once I made it to the car I noticed a lot of nicks and scratches on the car. I flagged down a person working on the lot and asked him how to record this since I was not given any paperwork. That person went to the station and returned with a blank incident form and that is the only paperwork that I used when I drove away. The rental was uneventful. When I received my credit card I saw the charge. I called Thrifty and was given an email with a 7 page agreement that had my signature on page 7 and the charges on page 1. Of course the lady at the rental desk only presented me with page 7 at the time when I signed. If the charges was near the signature box on the display screen or if I was given a paper copy of the agreement I would have been able to clearly see the charges. Now the Customer Service Team at Thrifty is not budging from their stand of the cost of the upcharges.
