United Benefits is a fraud

I was at work when my phone rang and a man with a fairly heavy foreign accent introduced himself as a representative of United Benefits called me and told me that I had won a shopping spree and could choose from 3 stores (Walmart, Target and ?). I quickly checked on-line while he was on phone to verify, but as soon as I mentioned that I found information on-line that indicated it was a scam, he said thank you and hung up. I would have lost $4.95, the cost he cited for receiving the information/check/coupon/whatever, which I m willing to bet was not redeemable!
