Unfair business practices! Failure to deliver what I PAID FOR!

My fiancé and I decided to order our engagement rings from Gemologica.com last month in March of 2021. We ordered 2 alexandrite rings we ordered an oval cut set in a silver band and a cushion cut set in a gold band. Waited a couple weeks and when they finally arrived the gold ring was completely wrong it featured a barrel cut that we had never seen before and did not want. We immediately emailed them back to which at first they tried to convince us that's what we ordered then retracted that and said we could return it the next day. They never sent any return packaging or labels or any instructions other than send it back. I sent it back via the USPS and it was stolen by an employee. Now Gemologica is refusing to send the ring I paid for due to the post office not delivering the ring. I paid 670 for this ring and never received what I ordered. If I ordered food and get the wrong food and send it back am I out my money if the driver eats it?
