February 8, 2018 Gymboree Consumer Complaint Division 71 Stevenson St #2200 San Francisco, CA Dear Madam or Sir: On February 7, 2018, I received a fraudulent order through my email address ([protected]@gmail.com) this evening. I logged in and tried to cancel it, (in addition to changing my password and contacting my bank, and freezing all accounts). The order details are below: CONFIRMATION #G00987708 02/07/2018 SHIPPING Brieana Werderman 8167 Deseret Ave, Fair Oaks, CA [protected], US Economy 7-10 Business Days PAYMENT MasterCard ************4350 My account is under [protected]@gmail.com. Unfortunately, I was unable to do cancel this order or deactivate my account and thus called the Gymboree customer service. I spoke to Julie who refused to give me her ID# (case #157603). She refused to cancel my order. I asked to speak with a supervisor. She placed me on hold and came back to tell me 'not to worry'. I told her that was unacceptable and to please put her supervisor on the phone. She was dismissive, continually spoke over me, and refused to put a supervisor on the phone-- instead repeating the same talking points. After approximately 35 minutes on the phone, repeatedly asking to escalate my case, I asked her for the name and phone number of her supervisor. At that point she told me that she was still trying to find a supervisor and didn't have one. I have never been treated so dismissively and unprofessionally by anyone. I am trying to secure my account and do not feel safe with any of my information in your databases. To resolve the problem, I would like you to cancel the order that is on my account and deactivate my account. I am happy to provide additional details should you require them. I look forward to your reply and a resolution to my problem, and will wait until February 21, 2018 before seeking help from a consumer protection agency or the Better Business Bureau. Please contact me at the above address or by phone at [protected] Sincerely, Ilana Harwayne-Gidansky, MA, MD, FAAP
