We were away when this happened which caused a surge in our power... causing everything to shut down. Happened to our neighbor also....When we returned today. saw that NYSEG had replaced our "hookup" to the service. However, not at all happy.... all other homes on our street have a hookup on the side of their home, like ours was.... now *** has been drilled in our roof and a metal post is now sitting on our roof.... our home is an historic house and this looks unsightly.. maybe no big deal to you but it's an eyesore to me.... did this have to happen this way?.... not at all pleased with the outcome...
