Tldr: The big motoring world warranty is a scam. Purchased a used Volvo V40 with less than 25,000 miles on it and the 12 month warranty. 2,500 miles later, the brakes started shuttering significantly when applying even gentle braking on the motorway. At the request of big motoring world, I had the brakes inspected - the report back in the red/poor condition for the front discs causing the shuddering. Motoring world said it was out of their hands - if I reported the issue within the first 4 months of owning the car - maybe they would have helped. Making me think the 12 month warranty was actually a 4 month warranty... Stay away from purchasing the warranty, especially on a used car as any failure is likely to occur in the first year/10k miles. After that the warranty claims 'specialist' will simply deny the claim under the pretense of 'wear and tare'. The big motoring world warranty is a scam. User's recommendation: Don't buy the warranty on a used car.
