My receiver on a 2021 Subaru Outback is recessed a little and the locking pin on the hitch doesnt fit around the bumper. Only solution is to get an extender or just take the whole mechanism with the safety locking pin off. My friend did this and it seems to be fine, but I may get an extender. User's recommendation: Would have been good to know this, may have gotten a different rack. Although, I love this rack otherwise. 5 star, for sure. Light, smooth and easy to operate.
