They damaged my vehicle and did nothing about it

If you've ever purchased a new vehicle or had one serviced under warranty, you already know that most dealerships suck. It's the nature of the beast. Unfortunately AutoNation Ford Scottsdale is the Dyson of dealerships; they suck HARD. Over the last few years we've had both of our Fords serviced at this location after Chapman Ford left a bad taste in our mouths. Even though our experiences weren't the best, they eventually got the job done and kept our cars running; usually it was just a case of bad communication. However, after the *** that occurred over the past week we are done with AutoNation Ford and will never look back. I dropped off my Edge on a Friday as the Vista sunroof was acting sluggish and would no longer close all the way. For context, we had fully replaced the sunroof three years prior to the tune of $2800. Our hopes were that it just needed to be lubed and inspected, or that they could at least get it closed so that I could continue to drive the vehicle. Well fast-forward to the following Thursday, I haven't heard a word from them. I give them a call and find out that they haven't touched the vehicle as their 'trim' guys have been busy. They also claimed they were unable to reach me despite having two contact numbers that have zero missed calls. I was told they'll get to it and call me later. Naturally, I don't hear from them and call back the next day to find out that they can't fix it and can't get it closed. I tell them to make sure it's parked in a covered area as rain is in the forecast and I was assured that it would. I finally get down there the day after that to find that my car has indeed been left out in the rain with an open sunroof. My front floorboards are soaked, there's an inch of water in my cupholder, and water stains in my headliner. The plug of my car charger was left sitting in the water-filled cupholder which destroyed the cord and the charger itself. There were greasy fingerprints all around the interior near the sunroof. In hindsight I should have refused to take the car back, but I needed to get home ASAP. I immediately contacted them on the phone to discuss the situation and was told a service manager would get back to me soon. The service manager called about 30 minutes later and was sympathetic, but told me the dept. manager would be in touch on Monday to discuss how we could make things right. Monday has come and gone with no attempt to contact me, so I'm left to slam them on consumer sites in the hopes that nobody has to go through the same experience ever again. After 8 days in their hands, I spent $116 to have these clowns fix nothing and leave my car water-damaged, seriously affecting the trade-in value. Our plan was that if they couldn't get it fixed, we would not spend the money (now up to $4500 per a service advisor) to replace the sunroof again and trade it in for an F-150. Of course, after this mess, we were not dealing with AutoNation Ford Scottsdale again. My wife and I decided we would try a Subaru instead, and after a totally painless and dealership-free trade-in experience with AutoNation Subaru across the street (they gave us more than Carmax could offer, versus AutoNation Ford's embarrassing number from four months prior), we are now blissful owners of a new 2020 Impreza Sport. AutoNation Ford Scottsdale, seriously, shame on you guys. I gave you my money only to receive water damage and no repairs. Now, in turn, my money will go elsewhere. All I wanted was a refund and the cost to replace my phone charger; $150 would have made things right. You have now lost all of my future business and a sale on a new F-150, and I will make sure I let everyone know that AutoNation Ford Scottsdale sucks, Dyson-style. User's recommendation: Avoid the service department and never trade in your vehicle here.
