Upon arriving at my Uncle’s home, to bring supper and medicine, I found him unresponsive. I knew he was breathing, but couldn’t shake him awake. We had all been sick and quarantined with Covid, but he seemed to be recovering fine. I called my friend (who is a nurse) and she told me to call 911. I remembered we signed Uncle up for Life Alert, and I pushed the call button. An operator stayed with me, while calling the local ambulance service. She remained online with me, even after the ambulance crew arrived. Even more astounding she stayed with me after the ambulance took uncle to the hospital. I honestly don’t know what I would have done without her calming assurance and directions. I’m so thankful his doctor recommended we sign Uncle up for Life Alert. He sent home the phone number and facts about Life Alert with uncle. Please, if possible, let the woman (whose name I can’t recall because of the trauma) know that we sincerely thank her for everything she did for me and on my uncle’s behalf. - G.H.
