Terrible experience -Salt Grass at Meyerland in Houston, Tx
On April 29, 2018, my family of 4 ate lunch at SaltGrass Restaurant in Meyerland Plaza in Houston for a birthday celebration. I shared with the waitress I am highly allergic to tomatoes, pork, rice, corn and peanuts. I ordered chicken Laredo without tomatoes and a baked potatoe with cheese and sour cream only on the side. My order arrived with tomatoes on top so I kindly pointed out the issue and the plate was returned. My order arrived again and I took my first bite then, I noticed before taking the 2nd bite, there were tomatoes underneath the chicken. Immediately, I took some meds to avoid a serious reaction and then notified the waitress and requested a manager. The manager offered to monitor the kitchen while they prepare my food again. My plate was brought to me and while the chicken was finally prepared correctly the bake potatoe was fully loaded with bacon which was incorrect again. My feelings of disappointment and concerns continues to grow, I am now starving and still having to wait for a simple request. Upon leaving, I then noticed they had the audacity to charge me for the late and incorrect meal meals. By the time I received my meal, my other family members were finished eating and had to wait until I was finished eating. To add insult to injury, I began to feel the impact of the tomatoes incident late that night and began feeling bad due to Salt Grass insensitivity to my food allergies.
