I used Seat24 to book an international flight from Basel to San Salvador for the first of August 2021, as well as a return on the 20th Due to covid circumstances, even after having necessary paperwork and corona Vaccinations as (legally) proclaimed by airlines and countries of transit and entry, I was denied at check in. The original booking was for swiss air and united, however the flight as I found out at the aiport was through lufthansa and united. The sevice rep at the lufthansa desk cancelled the flight for me so I would not simply be marked as a no show, and reccomended I call United. A call to united, who reffered me to Seat24 for rebooking as I booked through them, led to long hold times and a surprisinngly quick referral to the refund / rebooking department. I was on hold for another 2 minutes before being hung up on and needing to wait another 20 minnutes on hold, only to now be told I had to directly request a refund through United, and that there was nothing they could do for me. Regardless of what I was previously told. Upon contacting United, and being told a refund would be possible, however not to my card as the Credit card used to book the flight is different from the one I personnally used with Seat24. Calling Seat24, they would not confirm that the card was theirs, however mentioned that my refund would be no issue if united authorises or sends it to them, and that there was nothing he could do until I simply authorise it with United. The issue with this, is that a susequent conversation with the representatives from United, showed a larger issue at hand. Refund to seat24 shouldnt be ann issue, however Seat24 needs to conntact their personal United Exec desk as it was booked through a corporate card. I was just on my fourth round of being on hold with Seat24 today, and an hour and 11 minutes in, I was simply hung up on. (TOH = Time on hold) 1st call TOH: 14 minutes 2nd call TOH: 18 minutes + 2 and a direct hang up. 3rd call TOH: 40 Minutes 4th call TOH: 71Minutes + direct hang up I would not reccomend seat 24 to anyone at this moment in time.
