Still being charged!!

I went into a Youfit gym last week to cancel my membership. I gave the employee my name and phone number, and she tells me that the membership has already been canceled. Today, I looked at my bank account and found out that I was charged even though I knew my membership was canceled. I didn’t find out until today that this wasn’t the case. Apparently, since I paid a dollar to clear my previous membership balance, the old account was canceled not the current one I have now. The employee DID NOT mention this to me the day I went in to cancel. If I had know, I would’ve done so. I just want my money back. This is not fair. She failed to give me this information as it was her responsibility to do so. Employees are there to guide customers and to give a better understanding as to where their money is going. Employees need to relay all information to their customers, but like I said before, the employee neglected to do that. I DO NOT deserve to pay for her ignorance. I just wasn’t my money back.
